Retention Engine · Module

Stop paying bonuses to players who'd return anyway.

More revenue per player — without replacing your CRM.

Retention Engine sits on top of the CRM you already pay for and tells it where the budget actually changes behaviour — and where it's just buying organic comebacks.

How it fits your stack

The money problem

Most operators run reactivation campaigns against a churn or propensity score. The problem: a large share of those budgets goes to players who would have come back without the bonus — pure subsidy. Industry studies consistently show this is where the largest single retention leak sits.

The CRM tool isn't the bottleneck. It delivers what it's told. The decision underneath — who should get the bonus — is what's underbuilt.

What changes for you

Bonus budget that does work

Spend concentrated on persuadables; subsidy removed from organic returners.

Earlier churn signal

Decay detected weeks before a campaign window — your CRM team acts while it still matters.

VIP visibility

Behavioural scoring surfaces VIP risk to your retention team before they slip away.

No CRM migration

Targeting decisions are pushed back into Optimove / Smartico / Customer.io / Bloomreach / in-house.

For your tech team

How it works

The decision layer is a causal uplift model: it scores each player on P(deposit | bonus) − P(deposit | no bonus), not just churn probability. Combined with a control-group hold-out maintained every campaign cycle for validation.

Aggregated behavioural signals are read from your warehouse (no raw PII crosses into Arctura). The scored persuadable cohort is pushed back into your CRM with personalised message variants generated via LLM orchestration. Hold-out lift measured weekly.

"Your data stays your side. Decisions push back into your CRM."

Proof / blueprint origin

Built on the production retention system we ran at PIN-UP / RedCore in 2024–2025 — uplift modeling, hold-out validation, multi-CRM push, integrated with the operator's existing campaign tools.

What you get

  • Uplift scoring model trained on your historical campaigns and behavioural data
  • Adapter to your CRM for two-way targeting and outcome push-back
  • Persuadable cohort views in a dashboard your CRM team can read at a glance
  • Personalised message generation per persuadable segment
  • Weekly hold-out lift report — honest, not vendor-marketing

Timeline

  • Week 1–2: Discovery — campaign history audit, warehouse access, CRM integration scope.
  • Week 3–4: First uplift model trained, baseline campaign reproduced for comparison.
  • Week 5–6: Shadow mode — Arctura scores live, your team still decides.
  • Week 7–8: First live campaign with hold-out, lift measured.
  • Ongoing: Weekly campaign cadence, continuous lift validation.

What we need from you

  • API or read access to your PAM and analytics warehouse (aggregated)
  • CRM access (Optimove / Smartico / Customer.io / Bloomreach / in-house)
  • ~12 months of campaign history (or shadow start if not available)
  • One CRM/Retention lead as primary contact
